ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

The United Network for International Youth (UNITY) is an independent, Brussels-based, youth-led organisation created to advocate for stronger youth rights within the European Union. We firmly believe that young people represent a transformative force, capable of providing innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges of the 21st century.

UNITY acts as a bridge between young people, institutions, policymakers, and partner organizations to ensure that the voice of youth is heard and taken into account.

VISION & MISSION

A world where every young person, regardless of their country, social, or cultural background, enjoys the same opportunities, is recognized as a key player, and can fully engage in the decisions that shape our common future.

  • Create an international framework for the protection, participation, and empowerment of young people across all geographic and cultural contexts.
  • Provide young people with the tools, skills, and opportunities to actively contribute to sustainable development, peace, and social justice.

  • Promote youth's access to decision-making bodies within international institutional frameworks.

  • Clarify the transition between the rights of children and those of young adults.

  • Advocate for the official legal recognition of youth as a distinct life stage, with specific rights, needs, and responsibilities.

HISTORY

Founded in 2025 in response to the lack of formal youth representation within the European decision-making processes, UNITY has made it its mission to create a global movement that unites young people around common goals: recognition, participation, equality, and concrete action. It was born from the initiative of young leaders from multiple continents, sharing the conviction that the future of the world cannot be built without youth.
